In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, collaborating on the design and rigorous testing of complex hardware architectures. This involves expertly integrating both analog and digital components, always with an eye toward delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions. You'll engage in groundbreaking projects, exploring and implementing the newest technologies on automotive platforms. Working closely with talented cross-functional teams in a global environment, you'll help deliver state-of-the-art solutions that will redefine the in-car experience.

What You'll Be Doing

Hardware Design & Development

  • Design, test, and verify analog and digital functional blocks within complex hardware architectures, ensuring solutions meet high standards for quality, cost, and series production suitability.

  • Perform schematic entry and variant management, and conduct schematic integration and design verification for projects of varying complexity.

  • Redesign existing functional blocks based on change requests and participate actively in schematic and layout reviews.

  • Support new project initiatives from the RFI/RFQ phase and assist with BIOS activities.

System Integration & Testing

  • Develop hardware and conduct comprehensive software testing for automotive infotainment computer systems and platforms.

  • Test and analyze application and driver software to ensure seamless functionality with dedicated hardware.

  • Assess software feature fulfillment in specific hardware blocks.

  • Utilize command shell programming for precise hardware control under the operating system.

Collaboration & Support

  • Evaluate requirements and feasibility, providing critical input for system design and hardware realization.

  • Assist in creating technical specifications and evaluating suppliers for telematics and connectivity components.

  • Engage in global collaboration with various departments throughout the entire development lifecycle.

  • Provide essential maintenance support and technical assistance for the industrialization of functional items.

  • Create detailed measurement reports and technical documentation.

  • Execute technical measurements on customer sites.

Your profile:

To excel in this role, you'll bring:

  • Proficiency in schematic design, ideally with XPedition Mentor Graphics.

  • Extensive experience with Power Integrity analysis, complemented by a working knowledge of Ansys.

  • Familiarity with commonly used infotainment system interfaces (e.g., PCIe, UART, TDM, I2C, I2S, USB).

  • Experience with technical documentation creation and measurement reporting.

  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with ticketing systems like Jira.

  • Basic knowledge of command shell programming and debugging.

  • Proficiency in English is required for global collaboration.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with ALM Siemens Teamcenter.

  • Familiarity with Spice for circuit simulations.

  • Knowledge of Linux, Matlab, SAP, and Facton.
