About the Company 

The client is a fast-growing, early-stage technology firm focused on developing intelligent risk assessment platforms and automated trust verification mechanisms for highly regulated enterprise sectors. Having already secured significant multi-year commercial agreements and generated substantial early revenue, they are expanding their core technical capabilities.

The company operates out of London with strong financial stability from leading early-stage venture investors. They are looking to strengthen their technical core by bringing on board a high-agency Founding Engineer to lead their automated agent platform development. 

The Role in a Nutshell

We are seeking an adaptable Forward Deployed Engineer who will act as the core technical and strategic interface for enterprise clients. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of client accounts, working directly with executive stakeholders (CSOs, VPs of Risk) to transform complex corporate workflows into operational agent-based solutions. Combining client success, solutions consulting, and hands-on coding, you will drive platform adoption while shipping target features and bug fixes to keep customer environments running smoothly. 

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Account Ownership: Manage customer relationships end-to-end, steering onboarding, retention, platform configuration, and commercial account expansion across multiple key accounts.

• Client Technical Leadership: Facilitate recurring working sessions with senior risk and security executives, translating complex operational challenges into streamlined technical setups.

• Hands-on Feature Shipping: Leverage modern AI-assisted engineering tools (Claude Code) to patch UI issues, implement custom client requests, and deliver minor technical enhancements independently.

• Roadmap & Feedback Bridge: Synthesize customer feedback into structured product insights to directly influence core engineering priorities and feature roadmaps.

• Commercial & Procurement Navigations: Partner with client procurement, legal, and security teams during evaluation cycles, security checks, and contractual negotiations.

 Experience

• Professional Track Record: We are looking for candidates with 2–5 years of high-impact experience in demanding professional environments, demonstrating strong technical adaptability and sharp commercial instincts.

• Client & Account Management: Proven track record of owning commercial outcomes, managing strategic client relationships, or leading technical deployments in client-facing setups.

• Technical Execution Appetite: Readiness to ship production code using AI-native development workflows, whether coming from a software engineering background or possessing a strong desire to code on the job.

• Domain Background (Bonus): Experience as a Solutions Architect, Deployment Strategist, or Customer Engineer within enterprise SaaS startups (particularly GRC, legal tech, or cybersecurity) or regulated sectors like financial services.

• On-Site Availability: Full commitment to working on-site with the team at their London headquarters (King's Cross), with flexibility when operational needs arise.

Compensation

• Collaboration Structure: Permanent employment contract

• Financial Package: Estimated £100,000 - £130,000 / year (commensurate with senior engineering capabilities and domain depth)  + meaningful EMI-eligible equity options
